Day 1 – The Waterfalls Canyon
Leaving Sofia at 7:30 a.m. from the bridge in front of the National Stadium. Arriving in Smolyan around 12:00.
After lunch we will start on the Waterfalls Canyon walking route from Smolyan. We will see a number of drops between 2 and 14 meters high and by the tallest waterfall Orpheus (68 m) we will perform a yoga practice for clearing our energy centers.
Besides bringing freshness, the waterfalls noise brings peacefulness to our mind. Running water is a constant generator of negative ions and helps regulate important life processes.
The trek will take us 700 m higher than our starting point, bringing us to about 1,800 m ASL. The walk is around 3 hours, including rest and stopovers. While walking we will play some icebreaker games to get familiar with the whole group.
After checking in “Chitacova guesthouse" we will do some relaxing yoga with stretching and meditation for a full relaxation of body and mind (90 minutes).
Day 2 – Arda Peak and Springs
We will start the day with energizing yoga and meditation. We will wake up the body to get ready for the daily trekking. Will wake up the mind with a powerful breathing practice.
Breakfast: local thick pancakes with white cheese and homemade jam. You have to take something for lunch with you.
Adventure continues with a 5 hours treking to the springs of Arda River and Arda Peak (1,731 m). The springs are located on 1,500 ASL in a fairytale forest. If we climb the Arda Peak, you can see the Thracian Sea if weather permits.
We will do a breathing practice with mediation to connect to our inner source and planting good intentions. You will later have free time to rest, walk around or take pictures.
After the treking, our bodies need stretching and muscles relaxation. We will enjoy a slow stretch yoga (1 h). Vegetarian dinner in the guest house with local potato pie.
Note: during the trekking we will be walking barefoot to restore the contact with Earth.
Day 3 – Golubovitsa Cave
Fresh morning yoga to wake up the body + caffeine-free breathing technic for a balanced day with nature.
After a traditional breakfast we are going to the Golubovitsa Cave in the region of Koshnitsa Village. Golubovitsa Cave is a water cave system on 4 levels. The name comes from the local word for Dove, as it is said to have rock doves nesting inside. If the water levels permit, we will enter the cave with an inflatable boat.
