Prohodna Cave – The “God’s Eyes”
Also known as The God’s Eyes Cave, Prohodna is the most famous attraction in Karlukovo Gorge, part of one of Bulgaria’s largest karst regions.
The rock arch reaches 56 meters in height and 260 meters in length, formed during the Quaternary Era.
This magical site is a paradise for cavers and climbers, offering dramatic views of waterfalls flowing through the “eyes” during rain and breathtaking visions of the full moon shining through the openings — inspiring the name “Divine Crying.” A must-visit for anyone who wants to experience nature’s wonder.
Krushuna Waterfalls
One of Bulgaria’s most picturesque natural attractions, Krushuna Waterfalls offers a gentle hike suitable for beginners and children.
The trail winds along a cascade of waterfalls, with the main drop reaching about 20 meters and splitting into several smaller streams over soft limestone rocks.
For centuries, locals have believed in the healing power of the waters, performing rituals on Saint George’s Day. The surrounding rocks also host ancient caves that were once inhabited by Christian hermits.
