Day 1 Arrival in Sofia
In the afternoon, we’ll visit the National Historical Museum, home to some of the country’s most remarkable treasures. Afterwards, enjoy a 1.5-hour city tour of Sofia, exploring its highlights and local charm.
In the evening, there will be a welcome dinner with a traditional folklore show – the perfect start to your Balkan adventure!
Day 2 Hiking to the 7 Rila lakes with SPA
After breakfast, a transfer awaits us to the first station of the chairlift at the Panichishte area, which will take us to the trailhead. The drive takes about 2 hours. We’ll explore the stunning Cirque of the Seven Rila Lakes, located between 2,100 and 2,500 meters (6,900–8,200 ft). Each lake has its own name and legend, and together they create one of Bulgaria’s most breathtaking mountain landscapes.
Enjoy panoramic views of Vitosha, Osogovo, and the Stara Planina Mountains.
Around four pm In the afternoon, we’ll relax in natural hot spring pools in the town of Sapareva Banya, famous for hosting the only natural geyser in Bulgaria. The pools are situated outside and have a wonderful view.
Later, we continue to Melnik, where we’ll admire the striking Melnik Earth Pyramids and spend the night.

Day 3 – Hiking to Refuge “Spilios Agapitos” on Mount Olympus
After breakfast, we travel (approx. 6 hours) to Prionia (1,070 m), the starting point of our Olympus adventure.
Our hike takes us through a beautiful forest of deciduous and coniferous trees as we ascend to Spilios Agapitos Refuge (2,100 m).
We’ll reach the refuge around dusk and stay overnight.
Hiking time: 4–5 hours
Ascent: +1,000m
Day 4 – Climbing Mytikas Peak (2,918 m)
After a hearty breakfast, we’ll take only our essential gear and start the climb towards Skala Peak (2,866 m) – about 3.5 hours of trekking. From there, we continue to Mytikas, the highest point in Greece, taking about an hour.
Depending on conditions, we may use mountaineering equipment for safety.
We’ll return to the refuge in the early afternoon, collect our luggage, and descend to the parking area.
Transfer to Litochoro, a charming seaside town at the foot of Olympus where we will enjoy a delicious dinner at a local taverna with authentic Greek cuisine.

Day 5 – The Majestic Monasteries of Meteora
Today we visit one of Greece’s most iconic landmarks – the Meteora Monasteries, often called the miracle of Greece.
Perched on towering rock formations reaching up to 600 meters, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a breathtaking complex of monasteries that seem to float in the air – as the name Meteora means “suspended in the sky.”
We’ll spend half the day exploring this spiritual and architectural wonder.
In the late afternoon, we return to Litochoro for a relaxing evening and free time.
Day 6 – Vergina & Farewell
Enjoy a leisurely morning before we head to Vergina, home to the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai.
Here you’ll see one of the most significant archaeological discoveries in Greece – the tombs believed to belong to Philip II, father of Alexander the Great.
Marvel at ancient treasures, weapons, and beautifully crafted gold artifacts that bring Macedonia’s royal past to life.
After a farewell lunch, we transfer to Thessaloniki Airport, marking the end of our unforgettable journey!
